The staff at the bar were very attentive, though we didn't really appreciate a £10 service charge for a bottle of champagne we bought at the bar to take away...that was a bit cheeky! However, we still think we would like to return, & maybe stay over rather than just have a meal.Più informazioniThe Rise RestaurantPrezzo: caro• Britannica• York•4,6

The food was delicious but a little more sauce/gravy would have been nice for all the mains. The red cabbage served with the game pie was too acidic. However, we all had a lovely time and will return.Più informazioni21Prezzo: caro• Britannica• Newcastle upon Tyne•4,8

Then we all went for the turkey dinner and wow, hands down the best Christmas dinner we have had, all the trimmings and turkey was to die for! Will 1000% be returning!Più informazioniAmare PatisseriePrezzo: caro• Britannica• Redcar and Cleveland•4,8

The Christmas menu was varied and interesting but the standout plate for me had to be the herb crusted trout.Absolutely delicious and so beautifully orchestrated in terms of flavours, textures and presentation. On the down side the ice cream( cinnamon?) on my apple and almond crumble was very odd.Gluey and unpalatable with little to recommend it. More almond in the crumble would have been nice too. The fudge was “candy” like , sugary and grainy but I was still very impressed, as I usually am, with the experience that is Blackfriars.Più informazioniBlackfriars RestaurantPrezzo: caro• Britannica• Newcastle upon Tyne•4,6
