Café popolari a Piccadilly

Despite booking for 12.15, there was still a wait for the table. It worked out OK though as part of the party were held up due to tube issues. We got seated after about 20 minutes and the service after that was great. Can't really fault the staff as they were super obliging.

Great experience although venue was very warm and uncomfortable...I would suggest putting air-conditioning on in hot conditions please...

Super nice and attentive staff in a busy cafe on a main road. The venue is nice but frayed around the edges with a sense of once- upon-a-time grandeur. The food is great, very tasty and portions are generous. Would I come back? Yes!

The cafe itself was nice, staff were attentive and kept asking if we were ok. We ordered a Prosecco afternoon tea. They didn’t bring the Prosecco we with our tea we had to ask for it, we also asked for tap water and they didn’t bring that either. The tea itself was ok. A couple of the sandwiches were dry as was the scones, they were very crumbly and broke into pieces when you put jam & cream on. They also didn’t provide any butter. The cakes were lovely though with a great selection. Overall it was alright and not too expensive which was good.
