Café popolari a Tysons Corner / McLean

Since the closure of la-bergerie in Old town in 2016 which operated for 40 years there has not been an upscale elegant French restaurant in old town Alexandria. La Refuge has wonderful food but it’s more casual and very small and cramped. Josephine checked all the boxes, elegant decor, great wine list and wonderful food. The subtle lighting and dark wood decor made it a wonderful place to celebrate the anniversary of our first date that led to a long marriage. We will be back.

It was another enjoyable experience at Julii. The food, service are all very consistent. Highly recommend dining there.

Food was fantastic, we went on the earlier side , 5:30 when it was less crowded and it still seemed to take a bit to get our appetizer, but didn’t really matter to us. It was very busy and appeared to be a wait by the time we left at a little before 7. The curry puffs were delicious, great flavor. The pineapple fried rice with shrimp was delicious and so much food. And had to get the Drunken Noodles- great flavors but a tad too spicy for me, still ate half of it!

The coffee experience is highly recommended. We tried the signature and seasonal coffee experience and it was amazing. I plan on bringing my friends here to try as well.
