Great service , cool comfortable seating. Food was overall very good. Rice in rice and peas was a little hard but green and sweet plantains were great. Chicken was flavorful and moist!!! Rasta Pasta was great and made slightly mild upon request! Let's not forget the yummy fried shrimp small plate and the jerk chicken tacos. For a carribean palate could have had a little more spice but yummy nonetheless.... 2 reasons hesitant to go back are small amount of seating so hard to get in and a little pricey but we will be back. Really good

I always enjoy coming to Dunns River. The music is good, the food is amazing and it’s the only sit down Caribbean experience that is top tier compared to the normal hole in the wall establishments with the plex glass separating the customers. Home run for date night. My only wish is that the music isn’t so loud all the time. It’s so hard to have a conversation. I stayed away from Friday & Saturday and picked a weekday date night thinking it would be a quieter background noise kind of night. Nope. We were still shouting at each other. After our meal we ending up walking around in the rain so we could hear each other lol. Something to consider for management maybe.

I went to celebrate my birthday with family and close friends. I had such a great time at Jalao. The food was great. The staff were so friendly and kind.

Great service, tasty food, a great experience overall!

Service was great and the patio space is a must for date night.
