Cocktail Bar popolari a Malverne

Our evening at James & Main was incredible, a perfect date for our end of the week. The ambience is stunning, and the food tops even that! We started with their homemade Italian sodas (dry January!) which were delicious, the Main Street salad, and the beef tartar. All the appetizers were great but the star goes to the salad which was a blend of flavors such that each bite was differently amazing. For dinner we had the lasagna nonna (perfect sauce!) and the grilled pork chop over polenta. Both stole the show but the grilled pork chop won me over with its sauce! We finished with the bread pudding for dessert which was honestly the best I’ve had in YEARS. The food was fantastic, but I would be remiss to say that our server Christie made this into a five star experience. She was perfectly attentive, offering great suggestions on what we might like without being overbearing during our meal. When each course came out she appeared with things we didn’t even know we needed (extra sharing spoons, more bread for the sauces)! We can’t wait to go back!!

I love this restaurant for the quality of food, variety of choices and its ambiance. It is a peaceful environment. Perfect for having a conversation with friends and family. The staff are always attentive.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here, however we felt the server was somewhat inattentive. One of us had the tuna, which we order frequently when dining out and the preparation somewhat over-powered the tuna flavor. The bar is nice and we enjoy the atmosphere here!

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment with my sister and mother last evening, and everything exceeded our expectations. From the expertly crafted cocktails to the delicious dishes, every detail was spectacular. We particularly appreciated the intimate setting and the perfectly curated ambiance, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The service was exceptional, attentive, and friendly throughout the evening. I am thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Great time. Agree with the other reviews, which was why I chose this place. It's more of a bar so it was pretty much only us for dinner on a Wednesday night, but the food and service were great. Highly recommend. Nice decor as well.
