Cocktail Bar popolari a U Street Corridor

First off, we were running 20 minutes behind for our 8pm Saturday reservation. About 7:50, when it was clear our dinner was progressing far too slowly, I messaged the bar through this app. They responded and were AOK with our running late. We really appreciated their flexibility, especially on a Saturday night. Anyhow, on to the drinks and small bites that were part of the “playlist” experience. 4 creative and well executed cocktails perfectly paired. They accommodated our pescatarianism and a nut allergy no questions asked. Small space and they seem to pretty much operate on a reservation only basis. Cool Unisonian interior decor. Great music (a mix of the Roots, OutKast, and some 70s disco). Staff was awesome. Each was friendly and professional and good at what they do. We’ll be back.

This was my second visit to Gypsy Kitchen, and it was just as fantastic as the first! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great spot for a night out. Our waiter, Andrew, was excellent—very helpful throughout the dinner, offering great recommendations from cocktails to dessert. We revisited some of our favorites, and they did not disappoint. The hummus is amazing (pro tip: order an extra piece of pita bread). The potato dish and pork shoulder were equally delicious, packed with great flavors. For dessert, we tried the pear tart, which had more of an apple pie texture than a traditional tart, but it was still enjoyable. I also had an Old Fashioned, which was well-made and a great way to round out the meal. Overall, a great experience once again. Highly recommend this spot for excellent food, drinks, and service!

Loved the intimacy of this speakeasy! Ambience, drinks and music were perfect. Only thing is… If you’re looking for a secret door it doesn’t exist. Nonetheless a great experience!

I gave 3 stars for food but we had cocktails, not food. The cocktails were 5/5!

I going for dinner bday every was good only one thing my daughter didn’t like empanadas and she asked wait. Can she send them back and tell her no I didn’t like that I think she should got a choice get something else
