Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. We dined here for Christmas Day dinner and had such a lovely time! We made advance reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival and greeted with our welcome drink of choice. While they were extremely busy and crowded, our server was extremely attentive and the music playlist was on point. The whole staff was so friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed the food and overall experience very much!

Food was so delicious ! I tried the lasagna and it was one of the best I’ve ever had 😍 Tiramisu was also really nice. They also have really nice sitting area upstairs and service was super fast. So definitely would go back.
