We have become major fans of Chef Basarov. Under his regime, I firmly believe that the Covey Grill may have become the top of the "haute cuisine" chart for the entire Monterey Bay Area. Each and every item we have ordered from his menu has been superb--not just in presentation, but in the surprising explosion of tastes in the mouth. In turn, the service is excellent--every time is a happy event, a badly needed escape during these troubling times.

Food and drinks were excellent but was disappointed because the Rainbow Trout was not on the menu. The menus on Open Table and the restaurant website both showed the rainbow trout. I was looking forward to ordering it because it is Ash Wednesday and we do not eat meat. We told the waiters they need to update their menus online.

Went for early dinner , took advantage of happy hour menu. Very good , service excellent. I had the fried chicken sandwich, my wife loves the fish & chips. All very good. Love the chaminade.

Beautiful view of the ocean with great food! And kid/family friendly :)

Best clam chowder ever! And our server, Angel was fantastic!
