It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Metered parking is available in a full lot in the rear of the restaurant as well as the front and surrounding streets. Entrances are located at both the front and rear and are easily accessible for all.

Our server Carrie was outstanding! She was knowledgeable, pleasant and on point. I had the Jake and roasted cauliflower salad, my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious. We mentioned it was 3 months that we were married she comped us a round of wine as a congratulations. The manager also came by to offer congrats. Dessert was crème brûlée, she served it with a candle on the side with whipped cream. Very yummy! Our date night was perfect!

I needed a lunch spot with a variety of foods and ample parking for friends who were recovering from surgeries. This was a great location. The server was attentive. The crab and lobster dip was okay but the lunches we ordered were excellent. No complaints from anyone in our party. The only suggestion I have is to include the prices for all of the cocktails.
