Our friends just moved to IL from Mexico. They said this place is authentic with modern mixes in the food. And they approve! Everything about Vela was special. The ambiance and music, service by Ethan, drinks and food was amazing. We will be coming back. Definitely a spot to impress guests!!

The restaurant is super cute. The music volume was a bit loud for a Wednesday due to the crowd, but i get if it was a Saturday with a busy crowd. Overall the food was great! The empanadas were fried to perfection almost pastry like. Will definitely go back in the summer

Great food, good service, enjoyed our meal. The table we were at was a little bit small and cramped for the plates etc. but manageable. Staff friendly and food came out quickly. Will definitely be back!

Don’t be surprised by the name change to Adelitas! The service, ambience, & food quality are superb. Be adventurous & sample their gourmet variety of tacos. I had the Al pastor & fried fish ones and they were excellent. I will be returning to experience the plethora of vegetarian menu options. This restaurant certainly is a gem in Bridgeport neighborhood. Next time I will go earlier and enjoy strolling through the neighborhood. Cheers.
