The service and atmosphere was perfect for our group & the food was delicious. Our cocktails were well balanced.

Our 2nd experience at this establishment. 1st was last month/year after Zoolights. We brunched this afternoon. Finally, got my hands on the French Toast (had it at their sister restaurant in Oak Park about 2-3 years ago). Wifey opted for Huevos Con Chorizo. Both were good. The complimentary Tortilla Soup was delicious too. The kitchen forgot to add Chorizo to the entree (believe it was a miscommunication as we requested a mushroom addition to the entree). The management comped us a side of Chorizo + a round of Cocktails (totally unexpected!!!!). We had trouble using the OpenTable Dining Reward Mastercard. Our server, Gracie, was patient and accommodating. We ended up paying using the credit card.

Vela Bar y Cocina offers a delightful dining experience with a menu that highlights fresh and flavorful dishes. The Hamachi Ceviche was a refreshing and light start to the evening, setting the tone for the meal. The Taco Gobernador stood out with its delicious blend of flavors, while the Pulpo a la Parilla brought a unique and enjoyable twist to the table. The Pescado Entero was fresh and flavorful, providing a satisfying conclusion to the dinner. The ambiance is undeniably beautiful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, the interior shows signs of wear, with noticeable food and drink stains on the walls at table level, hinting at the need for better maintenance. Service was friendly and helpful, especially with food and drink recommendations. Yet, attention to detail was lacking—spilled food or drink on the table wasn’t promptly addressed, which slightly detracted from the overall experience.

We came for Selenaaaaaas Sip and Paint. Everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect. The drinks were on point,the ambiance was top tier, the DJ's energy was A Whole Vibe. Definitely going to come Back. Thanks For Having Us La Victoria Barra.

Don’t be surprised by the name change to Adelitas! The service, ambience, & food quality are superb. Be adventurous & sample their gourmet variety of tacos. I had the Al pastor & fried fish ones and they were excellent. I will be returning to experience the plethora of vegetarian menu options. This restaurant certainly is a gem in Bridgeport neighborhood. Next time I will go earlier and enjoy strolling through the neighborhood. Cheers.
