Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Herne Hill restaurant in 2021, and since have become an institution in Herne Hill's small but awesome food scene. Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone! We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu and ability to cater for those with dietary requirements; We're co-owned by a coeliac, don't handle any gluten on-site, plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too! Formerly The Star public house the building been transformed with sleek interiors, stylish fittings and a few quirky touches that our guests have come to expect when they enjoy good times at Drunch. Six of our family came together for lunch. It was an easy place to find being near to the station, bus routes and with a space for a taxi. We had reserved a table which was waiting for us and the service was really good, even though the restaurant was busy. The food was very nice, a good selection to suit everyone and a special menu for the gluten intolerant. We thought that the prices were very good. As we had met from different parts of the country, we had a lot to talk about and were really pleased that the music wasn't too loud at all. I think that the waiters and waitresses were so available and helpful was what made it especially appreciated by our group. I would definitely recommend Giraffe Victoria as a place to meet and eat.
