Dining Bar popolari a Broadbeach

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast visit to Double Barrel at Benowa. We had an excellent waitress, who was attentive to our needs and our food certainly showed that she had carefully recorded special requests. The food was well presented and delicious. Serving sizes were good. Concerns: The cash register is now at the entry point. We had to wait considerable time-despite having a reservation, as a group at the register couldn't make up their mind about their order and no-one could progress until the order was sorted. The same issue happened on the way out when two ladies couldn't decide on the drinks they wanted. Once we were inside we had no menus. The staff member on the register still had a queue to manage. We sat there till we saw the menus outside on the pole. The system seemed to flow better when the register was indoors. Parking is always an issue. It is normally impossible to park in the area where one should park. Illegal pool parking is the only issue.

It was our first time to the Exhibitionist Bar. I had booked a table inside but asked to be moved to the outside patio. Even though it was a Friday night, they were so obliging and found us this high-top table with an amazing view of the Gold Coast skyline. We watched it go through daylight, dusk and evening and it was spectacular. It must be one of the best views on the coast. Troy was a marvellous host and was so helpful on what to order. On his advice we decided on the corn ribs, hummus and...brussels sprouts which, surprisingly, was the standout dish. The crispy, slow-baked sprouts with the honey chilli sauce were an ingenious combination. So tasty. For drinks, we ordered the Basic Peaches slushy which was this deliciously smooth and creamy layered cocktail. The perfect choice for a sultry late summer evening. I highly recommend the Exhibitionist Bar experience, the location, food, drinks and service was superb. The staff went above and beyond for us which really made the evening for us. Much appreciated.

Service impeccable, filkes très sympas, plats excellents, surtout les gnocchis aux champignons et crème : sublime !!! Nous n'étions pas très bien placés mais c'est un peu de ma faute nous sommes arrivés avant l'heure. 4 étoiles et pas 5 pourquoi: le patron doit vérifier l'état des coussins et des couverts et boire un café expresso n'a pas été possible. On reviendra !!!

We did the cocktail making class at Six Tricks and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. Jimmy was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and hearing about how he makes his (very different) cocktails was so informative. You also get a tour of the distillery and some cheese and crackers which was amazing. We ended up sitting there all afternoon with the other couple taking the class, Ghiv and Jimmy just chatting and drinking their fantastic drinks. We'll absolutely be back.

To the chef the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive we thank you all will definitely be back 😊
