Haven’t been for a few years..(sorry).. but we booked quite quickly for a friends “surprise” birthday treat.. food was stunning.. service was brilliant, throughout..& we all had a cracking time..didn’t really want the night to end..thanks to all.

Had an absolutely lovely afternoon tea, the service was fantastic. Sandwiches and cakes were delicious. Great selection of cakes for afternoon tea. Would definitely return again. Best carrot cake I’ve tasted!

Super food, as usual. Well presented, tasty, and creative. Service was excellent - prompt, attentive, but not intrusive. We really like The Cricketers and eat there as our first choice.

Hotel only gave a supplement of £30pp and the al a carte menu would have not been covered eg: lamb chop £34. There was nothing on this menu really to cover the £30pp. Luckily there was a festive menu at £40pp for three course meal therefore only had to pay an additional £10pp. Starter of soup was very small ( 3-4 spoonfuls) and a very small piece of bread, to follow was a very large plate of Xmas dinner and the dessert was nice as well. Overall best to have the festive menu. Only downside was they give you the full bill to pay and when you check out refund you? Also they added sevice charge and we were guests at hotel

The food was ok but portion size wasn’t great if I’m honest I still felt hungry afterwards i do understand that prices would be high so can’t complain about that the staff did a good job and very professional
