An intimate setting where expectations were exceeded with an interesting menu highlighted by stellar service and excellent food, prepared well. The portions were perfect, the flavors not overbearing and the ambiance was perfect for a delicious meal served at a relaxing pace. Next time, we’ll try something from the dessert menu.

We attended on Feb 15th from out of town, so the menu was a prefix for a specific price that included a three course dinner so the value on the normal menu is not considered in my review. The duck confit and filet of beef were both outstanding. Flavored perfectly and not too overpowering. My wife ordered the scallops (salted perfectly) and rack of lamb in which she enjoyed as well. The salsa verde with the lamb was to die for. The citrus really complimented the lamb. I really have no complaints about the food quality as it was all amazing. It was delicious and well worth the price of the prefix. The chocolate bread pudding was heavy for me, but I am not a big dessert person. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the coconut cake with chocolate sauce. The ambiance was quiet (second floor) and we felt a bit underdressed (lot of suits and dresses), but we understand many were out on a valentines dinner. Our server was attentive and funny, but not over bearing, and had some great suggestions for us (pointed me towards the chocolate bread pudding over the strawberry sundae). Although the cost is upper tier, the food was dynamite and we would definitely return for a special occasion. Definitely a memorable night where we left absolutely stuffed and pleasantly surprised.

Extremely happy with our experience! Meal and drinks were fantastic, had a great conversation with the owner (and patrons at the next table), and the staff was excellent. We will very definitely be back! If you are in the Gordonsville/Charlottesville area, we HIGHLY recommend you take advantage of this gem.

We had the Valentine's Wine Dinner at The Farmhouse. The setting, service and food were exquisite. My only complaint was the long waits between courses. We were seated in the patio area (enclosed), which was apparently the last section to be served each course. The presentation is fantastic, and the pours ample. At the end, the chef came around to speak with each table which was a nice touch. This is a great place for that special occasion!

I ate here for the Valentines five course menu and it was phenomenal. The dishes were curated exceptionally well. I did not leave disappointed and was already planning my next visit before I left. The staff are wonderful. We sat at the bar shortly before dining and enjoyed our beverages and time chatting with the bartender. She was the most welcoming and was able to provide drink recommendations which were very fitting.
