The Olde Dog Inn at Herongate Tye is a picturesque Essex weather boarded inn. Known to date from the early 16th century, the pub has been serving good beer and food for hundreds of years. A wealth of traditional features greets you upon arrival with low-beamed ceilings, exposed fireplaces and a friendly atmosphere.Once again The Olde Dog Inn has been voted by OpenTable diners as one of the best. Thank you so much to all our customers that dined with us and left a review.*Bookings for tables of more than 6 people require a £10pp deposit which will be deducted from your bill on the day. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.     We chose The Cricketers for a small family meet-up. We had some starters which were varied and beautifully presented. All the main course dishes were excellent - cooked to perfection and with innovative touches. We had no room for desserts but had some good coffee to finish. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The surroundings were comfortable and nicely decorated. The value for money was excellent too. Highly recommended.

    Was looking for a function for the work team from the ambulance hq for our Christmas meal. The Kings arms Broomfield was perfect for us, the food was great, service was fantastic couldn't ask for anymore. Thank you for the hospitality from us all at EEAST

    Great Experience at The Bull Brentwood. Service was amazing, the friendly staff made you feel welcomed from the offset. The food was exemplary and has such a great selection for anyone with a gluten intolerance! Can’t wait to go back again as such good value for money and you’re well looked after.
