Hibachi popolari a Hudson Heights

Once we were seated everything was great. Good food and service. Clean. I knocked a star because they did not honor our reservation. So I wouldn’t recommend going by listed available time slots again if trying to eat at a specific time (there were tons of available times on the app but when got there it was PACKED). We had a reservation.. they said it’d be a few minutes.. then a few more minutes.. then a few more.. we weren’t seated until 30 minutes later. They should have just been upfront with the timing at the beginning so expectations were better set. That said, they made up for it with a free round of drinks. I would return.

This was my second visit to DD soup dumpling and I enjoyed it just as much as my first. I brought a friend for his first time and he loved it and couldn’t wait to go back again. We ordered a whole bunch of dim sum/dumplings, and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The food is perfectly cooked and seasoned and comes out quickly. You have to submit your order via a tablet at each table, the wait staff comes by to confirm your order and then it’s submitted to the kitchen. I look forward to my next visit here.

A raucous front room of hibachi tables and lots of theatrics, great for group birthday dinners, and a cozier, quieter back room. A large, diverse pan-Asian menu featuring both familiar favorites and creative fusion items. The food is delicious and the cocktails look fabulous. The service is friendly and very efficient, and the prices fair. I'll be back.

The food we have had was very good and fresh. Their toro is the best around. Service is quick and responsive…shout out to Ivan!
