Welcome to Tempura Matsui –A Michelin One Star–Tempura Matsui invites you to experience the fine art of cooking tempura. Within a serene setting, guests have a seat at our counter or tables and can view the delicate preparation of lightly frying fresh fish and vegetables. We only serve Omakase Dinner Course for $280 per person at 2 specific times Tuesdays through Saturdays between 5:30PM and 8PM. Incredible experience. Truly never short of a fun and delicious event. The chefs and sake boy really know how to engage with the crowd, provide excellent service, and deliver and unforgettable night. You leave so full and so happy that the hour just flies by. Already the 2nd time my friends and I have dined here because we couldn’t stop talking about the first time. I recommend it to everyone!!

3rd visit and again, the Chef surprised us with great new dishes. An exceptional omakase experience and it has become our #2 favorite. It is still a little unknown gem on the UES, but it is better than many of the known names in th area: yes, we have frequented them all. In the meantime, BYOB, book a seat at the bar, enjoy the company of the other guests, and let the chef take you on a delicious tasting journey.
