A sherwal is a traditional, multi-layered baggy men’s trousers worn in various areas of the Mediterranean. Centuries old, it is a rare sight nowadays, except in remote villages and at traditional cultural ceremonies and, well, at our restaurant. Why name our restaurant after an archaic pants? Because, somehow, this pair of comfortable pants has found its way into our modern world, with little tweaks here and there taking the form of harem pants or baggy jeans, fusing the old with the new. And this is what we want to do. We want to take old culinary masterpieces from the Mediterranean and fuse them together, with new flavours here and there, adding new colours and new tastes to the table.

We believe in celebrating just how powerful food can be, from the seed to the plate. Because connection through food is our mission. Our space is intimate with only 38 seats and the overall vibe of the restaurant really transports you to Sicily with an outdoor courtyard that feels like a traditional Italian piazza. We have a few signature dishes however the Risotto Marinara & Spaghetti Marinara are definitely at the for front of our menu.

Everything about this place was amazing! Food 10/10, staff 10/10. Only thing was a massive group of posh English came in shouting and being loud which didn’t match the vibe of the restaurant before they came in. No fault of the restaurant, they were really accommodating and move people away from them to try help

Absolutely incredible food - especially the whipped cod roe & potato fugel. The decor of the restaurant is so beautiful and the attention to detail doesn't go amiss. The vibe was impeccable - will definitely be returning & couldn't recommend more!
