Michael DiBianca is a Culinary Institute of America graduate and New Jersey native who has been a local star in the Wilmington food/dining scene for more than a decade. This local treasure comes to the area from the former Restaurant 821 in Wilmington, where he was owner Tobias Lawry’s sous chef and then chef de cuisine. He went on the launch the renowned Moro restaurant and Satsuma Asian Kitchen & Bar in the Trolley Square area.

It is known as much for its creative cuisine as its whimsical décor, which features tiger-print chairs and portraits of military-garbed cats and dogs. We had a great experience overall. While my wife’s food was cold in the middle, the staff handled the situation promptly and professionally, which we appreciated. One standout moment was their attention to detail. I had noted on the OpenTable app that it was her birthday, and they not only read the note but acknowledged her special day without me having to say a word to the staff. That personal touch made the experience memorable. Despite the small hiccup, we would definitely recommend this place, especially for special occasions.

I would give 5 stars but music too loud and my margarita seemed on weak side. Tacos were large and delicious. Our friends like their enchiladas and burrito. Service was great and we weren’t rushed. Wish there was one in south jersey
