Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous fried chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. Went for Machette’s winter residential stay at OK Omens. Food was delicious. Wine was wonderful. Good ambience. Friendly staff. Enjoyable place for a date night or out with friends.

Come for our anniversary dinner and loved the experience! Wonderful service. Our waitress was funny and friendly. We’re from out of state so the scenery was very different for us but beautiful, regardless of the weather. The food was excellent! Fresh clam chowder is not a thing where we are from so we really enjoyed all the fresh seafood! Great selection of wines also. This place was recommended by a family member and I believe if we ever visit Oregon again we will go back to Salty’s!

We had a great time, chicken and waffles and the egg Benedict dishes were good. The staff are fantastic! Also, can’t go wrong with bottomless mimosas.

Our meal at Tartuca was the best we’ve had in a while! This neighborhood spot does Italian pasta like none other in Portland. Service was warm and well attentive and the food was phenomenal. We recommend ordering off the extensive wine list. Jeff, the manager, is very knowledgeable and made us recommendations to pair with our meal. We will be back!
