From the minds of Adolfo Garcia (Son of a Butcher, Pearl Tavern) and long-time restaurateur, Phil Stefani, comes Broken English Taco Pub. Located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Lake Street, Broken English is steps away from Millennium Park, and in the center of the new vibrant hotel and residential area. On the name, Garcia says, “I speak English with my friends, and I often find myself mixing in Spanish words because there are some phrases that simply don’t translate to English. This happens in many other languages and cultures, but that is what makes the name ‘Broken English’ fun – it is part of our daily slang.”

Very delicious food and mocktails! I was impressed with all the layers of flavor in the dishes we tried. I didn’t much like the dessert but everything else more than made up for that!

I live around the corner and this was my first time here. I have seen many places come and go at this location. This was so good, had the brunch menu, took my mom and sisters. I want them to make it and THRIVE. It deserves a crowd. The food is the real deal, delicious and comforting. GO!!!!

DELICIOUS food and outstanding service. We absolutely LOVED every dish we were amazed. Additionally, the service was exceptional. Our server was so kind and informed, and they ended up taking a few dishes off our bill due to a very minor delay. 10/10 recommend.
