We loved it as it was like stepping back into the 80s! Such a change to have homemade food and such a nice friendly atmosphere with great service. No loud music. Large portions of food not overly priced and what a delight to have the old fashioned sweet trolley! The lemon meringue pie was amazing and just like it used to be years ago! The downside was very little choice for vegans and vegetarians

In our opinion the City Barge is the best pub along Strand on the Green, Chiswick. Ian Wright is an excellent host and looks after his guests, that's probably because he values them. His staff are friendly and very efficient. Mind you Mr Wright, Ian, holds no brook with unruly behavior, thank goodness. Oh, I must not forget the chef, great craftsman.

Lovely fine dining experience in the restaurant. Excellent service and superb food. A bit pricey but you do get what you paid for!
