So you ask why Wanda Byob? Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come. The Twisted Tail delivered an unforgettable birthday celebration. Warm hospitality, exceptional service, live music, and a cozy ambiance complemented perfectly cooked dishes like barbecue ribs, jumbo shrimp, and crawfish mac and cheese. Thoughtful touches, like surprise birthday beignets, added to the charm. Great food, drinks, and value—I can’t wait to return!

It is our Christmas Eve tradition to do dinner out as a couple and Mabu was new to us for dinner. It certainly did not disappoint! 12/10 would go back again. The food was sensational and the service was superb! What a great date night to just spend together as a couple.

This place was awesome. It's quaint and friendly like you are at home. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The food was top tier. The fried chicken was excellent, light and crispy! It's a cute spot to grab something to eat with your friends.

The drinks and smoothies were healthy, tasty and not too sweet. The food was good. Our server Brandon was very personable, and we enjoyed our time.
