A dozen different steaks are on offer, but non-steak eaters will dine exceedingly well here.Butcher & Banker pays homage to the New Yorker Hotel’s storied history. The New Yorker opened in 1930 at the height of the Great Depression as the then largest hotel in the city. It has attracted a who’s who of entertainers and dignitaries from around the world, including Muhammad Ali, JFK, Joan Crawford and Nikola Tesla. Beneath the hotel, a bank vault and offices were occupied by the Manufacturers Trust Company until 1980. We brought 6 of us for the tasting menu. It was our second visit and won’t be our last. All I can say is SO MUCH FOOD! By the time the main course came we were already full. Great variety, spice and exceptional quality. Wish there was more room - but that’s NYC. Tight quarters. Our waiter (Anthony) was a repeat from our last visit. It seems we always come on his birthday week. He’s terrific.

A Greenwich Village landmark with delicious, varied and ample Tex Mex food and delicious, varied and ample libations. Service is friendly and efficient and I suspect that the restaurant's Cow Girl interior can't be found anywhere else except for cowgirl country.

Excellent service -- hostess and waitstaff were friendly, courteous and attentive. Fabulous food -- we came for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp & grits and the french toast. Love the vibe and the decor! Would definitely dine here again.
