Inspired by the Castile y León region of Northern Spain, the restaurant and bar is vibrant yet relaxed, with a beautiful heated terrace for outdoor drinking and dining all year round.This location is particularly special to us, as it was in Shoreditch that our first ever bar Cantaloupe, opened back in 1995. Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Split between two rooms, the front the engine, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. Tucked away but what a find. the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful when choosing dishes - ALL of which were amazing... The wine was also exactly what you'd expect it do be and slipped down easily to compliment the food. The atmosphere was just right with tables laughing and the noise level was just right. Highly recommend this place and will certainly come back for more.

We came here for our office Christmas party and it was head and shoulders the best one we've ever had. The food was really really delicious, lots of it and they did a fantastic job accommodating for our dietary requirements Recommend highly :)
