At Millpond Gatherings, we are an all encompassing hospitality center where you can eat, celebrate, shop, and stay with us here in the quaint town of Northford, Connecticut.     The Tavern was the perfect choice for our mid-week birthday celebration. The additions to the fall menu are delicious with particular favorites: the Spinach & Artichoke Dip and Acorn Squash Skins. Service was warm, welcoming and efficient and we appreciated Chef Alex’s table-side visit. We’ll be back!

    Our waiter, Michael , was very helpful in guiding us to our cocktail choices and explaining the menu. The tuna tartare was very fresh and abundant. The kettle chips were crispy and a great compliment to the tuna. The halibut was perfectly cooked, and tasted delightful with the mushrooms, shrimp, fingerling potatoes dressed in a lobster sauce. The pumpkin cocktail evoked the spirit of autumn. The bread pudding was elevated with blueberries and vanilla bean ice cream. All but the cocktail was part of the prix fixe menu. Fine dining at a fine price

    Overall a great experience. Our waiter Carol sp? Was attentive and made sure everyone's order was perfect. Craft cocktails perfectly blended. The pop-overs were a nice surprise, delicious. Entrees on point. My only suggestion was the ambiance, overall esthetically beautiful, it was a bit loud and too bright, maybe a dimmer?
