Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Homemade house guacamole, or one of the many soup or salad options, make for a great starter. The entree options are plentiful. Casa Vega serves everything from traditional chicken mole, a plethora of burrito options, combination plates and specialty options, such as carne chile Colorade and the signature Casa Vega molcajete.     La Bamba is one of the best drinks I’ve had in such a long time, with the menu. Fresh tortilla chips with a great seasoning and amazing salsas Thankful, this place is just down the street from us. Though I miss blind pig, I love the twist that they took on the food here. Highly recommend it

    Great food, excellent service. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about were the TVs. If you are wanting to watch a sports event while you eat, you'll be pleased, but I was there with my family and couldn't get my kids to quit watching the TVs. Otherwise, everything was great! Really nice and welcome staff, and delicious food and drinks!

    Food was creative and divine. GET THE DUCK CARNITAS AND FRIED ARTICHOKES. Service friendly and impeccable. Cool mid century interior. A bit loud on the music.

    We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food we ordered. The tortilla soup was flavorful and just the right spice level. We split shrimp fajitas and the vegetables were perfectly cooked and maintained their color.
