Our bread's recipe and technique have been passed down from the founder's great-great-grandfather, who owned an array of bakeries and managed many restaurants in Kabul. My partner and I first discovered Pietramala in spring 2024, and have found ourselves going back almost every time we are back in Philly. I want to stress that we are not vegans (though we are pescatarian); however, every dish at Pietramala is innovative and transcendent, showing you what is truly possible with the ingredients that you might not have ever considered or thought about. Everyone who works there - from the chefs to front of house - are all fantastic, and the ambience is always just right. Cannot recommend Pietramala enough

Excellent, interesting menu. Friendly, helpful service. Our only disappointment was our selected dessert being out of stock. Everything we tried was great.
