Ettore Vino e Cucina is the first restaurant and wine tasting room from Ettore Winery, a boutique organic estate and winery in Mendocino, CA, spearheaded by Italian-born winemaker Ettore Biraghi and Sofia Rivier.In collaboration with Los Angeles' beloved Italian restaurant, Osteria Mamma, Ettore Vino e Cucina brought on Chef Mònica Angelats Coll, a culinary expert with a unique background blending aerospace engineering and fine dining, to lead the kitchen. The menu is inspired by the team’s Italian heritage and will feature signature dishes like Ettore Tagliatelle Ai Funghi, a red wine pasta with mushrooms, kale, pecorino and hazelnuts and Stinco Di Agnello Con Patatine Al Parmigiano, braised lamb shank, fingerling potatoes and parmigiano reggiano. The restaurant showcases a beautifully-curated design of charming vintage pieces that have a story to tell, creating a one-of-a-kind dining atmosphere. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. This was an absolutely fantastic dining experience. The food was some of the best Italian I have ever had. The server was a fine Italian gentleman who was very attentive and also knowledgeable about wine pairings. The owner was walking around the dining room checking on guests and stopped by our table to say hello to us. He was very welcoming. We had the wagyu meatball appetizer, a Limone pasta, the lamb chops and the Branzino. Each of them were out of this world delicious! This is our new favorite Italian restaurant and we will be returning often.
