It is no longer a true French restaurant. The menu has changed and it has been American food with a slight touch of French. It was ok. I most likely will Never go back. Also, the alcohol menu is not good. They don’t even have good Tequila or or the esprit’s. Mostly French wine. The place is super expensive for the kind and quality of you get. $40 corkage for the first bottle and $45 for the second bottle. Valet parking for a fee.

We enjoyed our meal at Cuistot. Especially L9VED the peach cobbler. We were in the lovely fireplace room which has great ambiance. Service was ok but not wonderful. My place was set with a large round-bowled red wine glass. I ordered Sancerre, which was poured into the red wine glass. I asked for an appropriate white wine glass but got some mumbo jumbo about the dishwasher, although other tables had white wine glasses. We had to ask for bread. There was a large table of 8 near us that got all the attention which is understandable. This is nitpicky but Cuistot is a very high end and "special occasion" place to dine, so my expectation was high! Overall, we had a lovely evening including a show at the McCallum.

Excellent restaurant, the food is high quality and it’s cooked to perfection, service is great, our server was friendly and attentive. We recommend this restaurant to all our friends. We visit every time we travel to Palm Desert.

We celebrated our 38th anniversary and the restaurant treated us to a complementary ile flottante (floating island) dessert!

Great overall experience. I thought the food was good -not great . Skip the quenelles appetizer. Quilt wine was delicious. Cocktails a bit sweet. Service was good although at times we were waiting longer periods of time than we expected. I appreciated the recognition of our 41st wedding anniversary. It’s pricey -total bill for 4 people, appetizers, bottle of wine plus tip was over $525. This is my third time at this establishment and yes, I will be coming back. Dan our waiter did a fine job.

My husband and I recently dined at this restaurant following a recommendation from the concierge at the JW. We had a business dinner with a client and initially made a reservation for a larger group. However, when only three of us attended, we were met with an unwelcoming response from the host. Upon check-in, an older gentleman informed us, rather brusquely, that we would still be charged for the absent guests. This was certainly not the warm or professional greeting one would expect, especially when hosting a client. Fortunately, our server significantly improved the experience. She was energetic, personable, and provided excellent menu recommendations. We started with the Braised Short Rib Ravioli and the Chili Stuffed with Goat Cheese—both were outstanding. For entrées, I had the Branzino special, my husband ordered the lamb, and our client chose the filet. Each dish was well-executed and delicious. However, service became inconsistent as the evening progressed. After requesting a dessert menu, we waited 25 minutes without our server returning, despite the restaurant being far from full. My husband eventually had to approach her to place our order. To her credit, she sincerely apologized for the oversight, and our desserts—two peach cobblers—arrived promptly and were excellent. Overall, while the food was exceptional, the service did not meet the same standard. The initial interaction with the host was particularly disappointing, and the lack of attentiveness later in the meal was frustrating. This restaurant has incredible culinary offerings, but a more polished and guest-focused service experience would elevate it to the level it deserves.
