A very lovely environment for dinner !! However we were unfortunate to have a waitress who wore lashings of a particularly pungent and cloying perfume. Whenever she appeared, a fog of this noxious smell overcame us all and then refused to leave, as if it were attached to an area over our table by sky hooks !! It made it hard to eat as the smell she left overcame the food and all we could smell was her. Her manager really ought to talk to his staff and advise them that they must not wear aftershave or perfume as if is the food we wish to smell, not the staff !

A noisy event with a strange crowd at the back ruined the experience. The waiters and front desk were less than friendly and I didn’t see one smile between them.

The special truffle pasta was tasteless (£40 for a small bowl) but other foods we order were ok
