                                      The food was good, although we did have to request salt and pepper. We were the only patrons in the dining room, but there was a baby shower in the next room so our waiter relocated to the shower. All the staff were serving the shower. We were finally able to find someone to get us the bill.

                                      As fans of the Scott Harris restaurants, we visit the Francessca restaurants in the southern suburbs, but take a longer hike up to Davonta's because the restaurant typically has a totally different menu than the Francessca's we go to. Unfortunately, in our opinion, Davonta's in evolving to the same menu items. While a few items such as the ragu and polenta remain and are delicious, the "specialty" concept appears to be on the way out, which will certainly have an impact upon our desire to make the 55 minute trek to get here. We understand the challenges of the restaurant business, and their approach, I guess makes good business sense. We are always pleased by the managers who great us and treat us so well. That said, there were multiple opportunities for better service from our waiter who seemed friendly but quite inattentive.

                                      Our server was excellent! Everyone who helped our group of four was outstanding. The food and drinks were great as always and we had one last drink at the bar. The bartender did a fabulous job as well.
