    The birthday dinner that went awry. From the table that wasn’t ready and required us to be shuffled to another table after a wait, to the waitress who had no real idea what to recommend or what was good or what was even in stock, to the sheer outrageous cost of the meal. Regret not going to Houlihan or the 1762. Come on Devon’s, you can’t just take your reputation on the name, you actually have to produce results. And they forgot the birthday cake.

    I’ve waited tables before and experienced life in a hotel kitchen environment. This is not the typical service I’ve come to know from Devon. Here it is short and sweet. Any food going out to the guest has at least two sets of eyes on it before it gets placed in front of the customer. If the plate is not pleasing to the (your)eye it should not leave KITCHEN period. My wife ordered the seafood mixed grill. She ordered the same meal last time and it came out to perfection. This time however it was like someone cooked it as a second thought. It was black and burnt ALMOST to the point of non palatable. When I inquired about it. The waitress said it was intended to be served as a blackened preparation. Besides that point the menu said GRILLED, even if it was intended to be prepared that way NO FOOD EVER SHOULD LEAVE THE KITCHEN LOOKING LIKE “YOU DID NOT HAVE TO PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH TO KNOW IT WAS BRUNT AND DRY DRY DRY”. IT LOOKED DRY. Chef Paul Prudhomme the inventor of the Blackened preparation. Would not have been pleased. The waitress did replace the salmon with another one which came back nicely done. So if you order it and looks dry send it back right away. And remind them menu said GRILLED NOT BLACKED

    Make sure to request your mahi mahi well done. I thought it was too rare, but didn't want to make a scene. Big mistake and barely made it home to my bathroom. Loud non-stop talking bartender in background.

    Quan and his cohorts provided excellent tableside service, while the kitchen plated three delicious meals. Hard to beat!

    Josh was helpful explaining the menu and making recommendations. The cocktails, soup, salad & entrees were excellent. We would definitely return on our next visit.

    I usually have one of the featured fishes, this time I decided to have the surf and turf combo, the steak was tender and prepared exactly as I requested, the grilled scallops were tender and delicious. I would recommend the mushroom side dish it was excellent. Our server was great.
