              This is a fantastic restaurant. Service is very professional. Not only is the food amazing but the views of La Jolla Cove are breathtaking!

              Service was excellent, but the only thing really good was Mac nut hummus. Chicken was tough. Cosmo was not very good. Inside area was empty except us and staff started cleaning area at 8 pm. Not what you want to see while eating. Won’t be back.

              Great experience! Took my husband there for his birthday. Food was very good. We had the poke tacos, hummus veggie plate, baked fish, ahi entree and the hula pie. All very good and reasonably priced. We loved the poke tacos so much that we could’ve gotten a second order. Also, guava daiquiri is highly recommended. Very tasty! Great spot. The only thing I’d say is you if make a 4:30 reservation (when they open) it may take awhile to get seated. Other than that, had a wonderful experience!

              I don’t consider myself to be a harsh critic of food by any means, but the food we ordered (herb crusted free fish and rib & chicken plates) were dry. While they had good flavor, everything was overcooked. Additionally, the pork was drowning in the (tasty) BBQ sauce. That said, having made reservations via OpenTable, we were seated quickly. Overall ambience was pleasant and our server, Shawn, was friendly and attentive. Only reason I might go back is to try some of their craft cocktails that caught my eye. For a dinner date or Hawaiian food craving, Duke’s is not on my go-to list.

              Had the swordfish it was excellent! My friend had the Macadamia nut mahi-mahi and it was excellent also. The charter was great

              We love Duke’s and all TS locations and usually try to visit wherever we travel. This location was not the best of their portfolio (Maui takes top honors), but still solid. La Jolla cove is beautiful but the view is really blocked by neighboring buildings. Maybe try the bar upstairs? We had cocktails and appetizers at sunset, the crab wonton and sticky ribs were just ok, good not great. The tuna sashimi (and painkiller) was great, something we expect at Duke’s. Overall, worth the visit, we will be back.
