                                                                                            We frequent this restaurant fairly often and have delicious food and service most of the time. However, our most recent experience was not up to our expectations. The goat cheese is an appetizer we frequently order and this time, as well as during our visit earlier in the week, the homemade cracker/chips were over seasoned making them extremely salty which took away the enjoyment of the dip. One of my companions had the Walleye dish and said that it was tasty but too salty. I ordered the mushroom appetizer along with the truffle fries for my dinner and both were disappointing. The mushrooms had a strange bitter aftertaste and the fries were not fresh. Our server was great up until she brought me the bill. She brought the credit card machine to the table and proceeded to repeat the items that we ordered back to us and then announced the total to the entire table. I appreciated what she was trying to do, and I didn’t mind these particular dinner companions knowing the total of the bill I was paying, but there are some instances when I wouldn’t necessarily want my companions to know the total. Lastly, the dining room was packed with large parties making it difficult for the servers and patrons to move between the tables. This also caused the noise level to be extremely high so that it was difficult to hear the people I was dining with. All of that being said, the wine was delicious and always is. Sorry for the negativity, but I know that your restaurant is generally top notch so I thought you should know about our experience.

                                                                                            When the server handed the handheld to complete payment, she stood over and watched me fill in everything including tip. This is a horrible method of handling the check and makes a customer uncomfortable. Will not go back.

                                                                                            Staff was welcoming and seated us within 10-15 minutes. Really nice booth location, not quiet but not too noisy either. Live music was ok, but would have preferred normal din. App and food was very good flavor, prepared as requested and presentation was good. Value for money was acceptable as this was a special occasion (NYE). All in all Edgewood is two for two for our NYE dinners and we will go back again!

                                                                                            We thoroughly enjoyed spending NYE with our friends at Edgewild. The food was very good, the service was excellent and we commented on how nice it was to be able to hear one another with ease, despite the crowd!

                                                                                            Had dinner for NYE with my husband and 5 year old daughter. We had the crab dip with wontons which was good but very rich, I had sea bass with shrimp and my husband had the rib eye special - both were very good. Live music was entertaining, not so loud you can’t hear and server was nice. We enjoyed our dinner and dessert, chocolate bomb and chocolate espresso martini.

                                                                                            My husband ordered the lobster and beef tenderloin which was one of the chef’s New Years Eve specials and the most expensive item on the menu. The lobster was mushy and bland, the beef was decent and potatoes were just dull. Portions are very small. Not a good value for the money. Service was very good and my Sangria was wonderful. My Bronzini and shrimp was just ok. They were very accommodating to our vegan diner and prepared a special pasta for him.
