Welcome to El Chile. El Chile Cafe y Cantina offers a combination of Tex-Mex and Interior Mexican cuisine. We will hold all reservations for 10 minutes past reserved time. We run seasonal specials and have a great brunch menu for the weekends! Come sit at our bar to enjoy a game or just relax having some of our great drinks options we offer! Some of best Tex Mex I have had in Austin. Interesting flavors for their enchiladas.

The food was ok and the patio would have been cuter if the service was better! Our waitress was not attentive and when we said we needed to split the check up, she was rude about it telling us what would be easier for her time. We will explore other places next time we’re in the area.

Tortillas were really stale and the guacamole was skimpy but the chicken and fixings for the fajitas were good. Food was a 3 but drinks were a 5 out of 5.

We were fortunate enough to sit outside on an unusually warm night. There were four of us, and the various dishes were flavorful, well prepared, and hot (temperature). The service was slow and relatively inattentive. We had dirty dishes left on the table and the time between ordering and receiving drinks and food was very slow. The restaurant is fairly basic in design, which is fine, but there is only one restroom each for men and women, which is not. There seemed to almost always be a line. We did enjoy the food and may return, but there are so many other great choices in Austin that are closer to where we live on the West side of town that we may not.
