    This was a great first time experience! I loved every single thing! The ambience, the apps, the drinks, the main entree. I will most definitely be back. We shared chips and salsa as well as the bazooka guac. If was so fresh and the flavors were amazing. I had mahi tacos and a side of plantains. The meal was hot, and again super fresh and tasty! My friend and her mom shared the fajitas for 2. It came out on a sizzle plate with lots of toppings. It was Hot & timely. Our margs were superb. You won’t be disappointed!!!

    This review is from both myself and my dinner guest and I beleieve it's improtant to be compltely honest about MY expeience and my opinion on the food quality. Your opinion may be diferent! El Vez in Philadelphia has a vibrant, LOUD, ambience which many young people like, but it is difficult to have a converstaion which is why I eat out with friends and it was difficult to do at El Vez. My giest and I ordered maragaritas choosing a traditional and a blood orange and neither of us were impressed. The Jose Cuervo premixed maragaritas are so much better. Ours from El Vez tasted diluted and dull. The nacho mamas were good and I was so hopeful that the meal would be as well, but both myself and my guest were extremly disappointed. I has the steak quesadillas which came as a overly cheese quesadilla that lacked flavor other than the over powering flavor of cheese. There were no condiments to add pazazz to the meal and the quesadilla alone was boring and bland! My dinner guest had the Taco Tasting Platter and he said all of the tacos were soggy and lacked flavor also using words like boring, tastless and a dissapoinment. I tasted the fried mahi taco and agree - bland and boring! Perhaps this food compared to a grocery store frozen dinner would be considered "good", but If you prepare meals for youself at home and enjoy doing so save your money and continue. Get a bottle of Jose Cuervo and enjoy a quiet evening at home for a fraction of the price!

    There were five of us. We all had different meals and we all enjoyed them. The noise level was high, but it was mainly from people talking and not from overly loud music, which I think is unnecessary in a restaurant where people want to converse. We sat in a semicircular booth that shielded us from some of the noise. I didn't get a really good look at the tiny dioramas above my head and which all seemed to have tiny skeletons, but I thought it was a novel approach to decorating.

    Nachos with chicken and no ranchero sauce never disappoint. Super delicious. Birria tacos best I’ve had in restaurants, chicken tacos pretty good.

    Loved my experience at El Vez! The waiter was super accommodating and very nice! She made my 21st birthday celebration very special and something I’ll always remember! 1000/10 recommend trying El Vez!
