                                                                                      We invited guests to join us for dinner this evening. The waitress was pleasant, but the food was ill-prepared and unimaginative. We ordered the fresh figs with cheese and prosciutto. It was served cold so that the cheese could not melded with the fresh fig and the prosciutto wasn't wrapped around the fig, but served as burnt, tasteless bits on the plate. I ordered the beef short ribs. The meat was incredibly dry with scant sauce to enhance or moisten the meat. Our guest ordered the rack of lamb, medium. The center of the rack was blood red. He asked that it be cooked to medium as requested. When his entree returned, it was charred, well done with the ribs burned. For dessert my wife and I shared the apple tart frangipani. It was served cold with a crust so thick and dry that a knife was needed to cut into it. We have had a pleasant lunch there in the past, but the dinner was a disaster. We were embarrassed that we invited guests to share in this culinary fiasco!

                                                                                      This was my second time in six weeks. It has a great atmosphere and the service is excellent. Unfortunately the food quality was not up to expectations on our most recent visit. We had the featured Veal Porterhouse special and a filet of beef with lobster. The veal was tougher than it should have been. Not the tender cut we expected, especially for a special. The filet was not a good cut of meat. Clearly the end of the filet with more sinew than I expected. The grilled lobster tail was excellent.

                                                                                      Jack has become our favorite waiter. We always enjoy Eleven South for birthday or anniversary celebrations. This is by far our favorite restaurant at the beaches for upscale, yet casual dining for the past 10 years!

                                                                                      The food and service were excellent. We were in the small interior room and the noise level from the table across was unbearable! The manager came out but was reluctant to ask them to lower their voices.
