   The food, and service was excellent. Apparently their fried chicken was how they received their Michelin, so we gave it a shot. It was pretty good. The halibut was amazing. All around, great experience.

   In the beginning, the background music was a little too loud. However, the manager responded in kind by lowering the volume to an acceptable level. Ever other services and cuisine was world class as the dining experience exceeded all my expectations

   First time at Ella. We had a pleasant evening. The vibe was good and the SERVICE was EXCELLENT!. The drinks , martini, dirty martini, Pina Verde served by the bar were definitely worth coming back for to try other cocktails. In house fresh baked bread. Oysters w/in house pickled radish , I thought it was tomato, and asparagus. Went well together. The fried chicken was cooked the way fried chicken should be cooked, savory, hint of rosemary served with the in-house hot sauce on the side and slices of lemon to drizzle. The braised lamb shank was succulent, rich in flavor and went well with the bleu cheese risotto . We will be back.

   Food was a little pricey, and dining room vs happy hour rule sucks. I guess you have to be one of their regulars to figure out how to cheat their game.

   Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had almond crusted Halibut, my husband had the lamb shank. Both were made to perfection, we enjoyed every bite! The Chocolate layer cake is phenomenal! It comes eith a raspberry tapioca that is 'out of this world' delicious. It also comes with a mini scoop of coffee ice cream on a bed of English toffee. Total epicurean delight!

   Dining at Ella is always very pleasant and a good experience. The food is consistently good and updated to match the seasons and flavors of the year. I tried the gnocchi and they were made to perfection with an excellent creamy sauce that paired very well with the gnocchi. Staff is always attentive and friendly. I come to this restaurant for business meetings and people feel good about dining here.

   We came to this restaurant for my wife’s birthday but this restaurant was a total disappointment. We sat down and they took our order only to wait 20 minutes for our server to say the order never got placed because the ticket machine was broken. We waited an hour and 10 minutes to receive our appetizers. Food came 20 minutes later. Server was not attentive at all in the hour and 30 minutes we waited for food he came to only ask if we wanted more alcohol and portion sizes are ridiculously small and there was no customer attentiveness. I had high hopes for this restaurant as I had heard good reviews but take your money and time else where.

    Ella's has becoe one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Sacramento. A place where you feel special.
