Ernie’s Food & Spirits
The crossroads of cultivation, connection, and creativity. We strive to connect our craft of creating unique, locally inspired, and seasonally curated food with emotionally invested service.
The relationships we have created with local farmers, cultivators, brewers, and distillers, share the core ideals of our emotional investment. We are proud of our centralized location with seven major highways or interstate routes within twenty minutes of our front door. As we conceived our identity, we became fond of connecting our guests to the highest quality food and beverage our area had to offer. We have diligently partnered with local farmers to raise our own plots of fruits and vegetables, cheese makers to provide farmstead cheese, distillers who utilize the bounty around us, and brewers that strive to create the highest quality crafted product as we do in our restaurant. I have been to Ernie’s multiple times and I’m never disappointed. I finally ordered the salmon and it was so delicious. This is my favorite place in the Central Valley.

The food was okay. Second time here. I can see what they’re going for but the prices don’t really match the restaurant/setting in its entirety. Made the reservation solely to have the Wylarah Wagyu. We reserved 4:00pm and basically were the first guests, empty restaurant. Then were informed at the table that they “ran out” of the Wylarah. Not sure how that happens when we were the first customers of the day. Would have left but had other people eating with me. It’s a shame that the only “special” item worth while on the menu wasn’t available. Probably won’t be going back. Would have loved a notice ahead of time that they were out of the Wylarah, to then make plans to go elsewhere. Cool place to try if you don’t have access to high end restaurants and don’t travel to major eating hubs like Austin TX, etc. However, if you travel frequently to foodie cities, or don’t mind driving to places to eat like Sac, San Fran, Napa, etc. it’s not going to be worth it for you.

Ashley provided an awful experience as well as the manger. Ashley did not meet the bare minimum requirements of serving our table as we didn’t get asked to order until 30 minutes as all the other tables around us that were sat after us were already being served their appetizers. Ashley hardly stopped by our table and dropped off extra utensils without any mention of what they were for nor made eye contact so I had to ask what they were for as she was quick to walk away without any interaction. When Ashley finally came back we ended up ordering our appetizers along with our main dishes since we knew that she wasn’t attentive. My boyfriend ordered the surf & turf and asked if he could sub the filet for the 28 day aged ribeye in which Ashley responded, “ the surf & turf with the dry aged ribeye? How would you like that cooked?”. Ashley never came back to our table so we opted to head to the bar to order our own drinks in which were amazing, the bartender was great. After heading back to our table, Ashley never stopped by to check in on us. The food runner brought our food over to our table, he placed my filet mignon in front of me and then our three sides in the middle of the table. When my boyfriend’s food came out he questioned the food runner as to why there were any mashed potatoes on his plate as the menu stated that the surf and turf came with mashed potatoes and shrimp. The food runner explained that his order was put in as just a ribeye and that there wasn’t a surf and turf order and that you cannot switch the steak from the filet to a ribeye with the surf & turf. I explained to him that the server Ashley didn’t mention that when we ordered and that she didn’t tell us what the options were as she repeated the order and asked how my bf wanted his ribeye steak cooked for the surf and the meal. I asked to speak with the manager, I explained the situation in which she responded saying that my bfs meal would be a La carte . See pictures for more details

Excellent food and service. Similar or better than what you would find in San Francisco’s best restaurants without the drive. Definitely 5 star quality.

It was our first time at the restaurant. We were hoping to fine a place that could you could add to our fine dining experiences. It was not worth the expense, there are better choices locally.

The food was exceptional. Quality Beef and Lobster. Cooking was done to perfection for us. Just as we requested. Service was very slow including from the bar. They provided us with dessert at no charge to make up for the service. Ironically, the service on the dessert was very good. Expensive of course but I'll go back some time.

Last night was a memorable one. My partner and I enjoyed the salmon, carrots and crab fried rice with a split of champagne. Oh, and the bar drinks were way above the usual standards. Definitely recommend Ernie’s if you enjoy fine dining.
