We had Javen for the second time as our server. Can't say how lucky we were. He is outstanding in everyway. We will make sure we request him on our next visit. Great service and great food. Boca Chica has been a tradition for our family every Valentine’s Day 8 years running. My parents used to come here in the late 60’s, early 70’s when it was just a small handful of tables. It’s been a hallmark in our family for over a half century. I eat Taco house for lunch many times a month…..probably more than I should admit. Best refried beans in town imo.

The restaurant is lovely, the food is delicious, and the service is absolutely fantastic. We celebrated my daughter’s 22nd birthday on this visit. The server was incredibly kind and attentive and went out of his way to make her feel special.

Always a wonderful experience at Joan's. The food is amazing and we love the fact that it is a family venture. Joan and Susan always remember us - even though we only go there 3-4 times a year. Also love the fact that their 4 course tasting menu does not include a desert course, which we always consider a throwaway. We are patrons for life!

It’s a lovely experience! The high ceilings Make it a little noisy but the ambiance and the food make up for that.
