Mr. Castillo and his Partners are keenly focused on honoring Oaxacan culinary traditions, whose fame is derived in great part from its many varieties of moles. Established in 2003, we started as a small cafe and bar with great coffee, snacks, and pizzas. People loved spending time in the café enjoying our frappes or conversing with our friendly staff, so we decided an expansion was in order. In 2006 the first expansion began until our current completed renovation in 2019. We're still serving great coffee, cocktails, and pizza, and have our selection of fresh dishes to choose from that is currently in the works of expanding when our kitchen's renovation reaches its final completion. So come on by, stay awhile, and enjoy all of the beautiful things this Astoria gem has to offer. We are proud to have been offering Avenue Cafe as your home away from home and hope to continue to serve you for more decades to come.

We have been to Kween 5 times now: the drag brunch was awesome. Fredda is great and such an amazing artist. The food is on point, I def recommend the burger, empanadas, guacamole, chilaquiles, and anything off their drink menu. The happy hour deals are also really good, I recommend the thursday night for their happy hour.

Ovelia never disappoints. Food, drinks, ambience are always on point. Dinner last night was great. Skirt steak and feta cubes were 10/10.
