The service was excellent. The starters were fabulous. Some of our party didn’t enjoy the accompaniments to main course. It was my son’s 30th birthday and he received a card and complimentary dessert which was well received. The dress code was explained on the website which we followed but other diners did not which was disappointing ( too casual for the ambience and price mark ie. Hoodies, tracksuit bottoms).

Excellent meal with great service. Lovely surroundings and nice to be able to sit and talk without being drowned out by music. Will definitely return - the meal was one of the nicest I’ve had in a long time.

Superb place really magical ambience. The staff were brilliant; friendly and attentive. Went for a Christmas meal with my daughter and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the ox cheek sublime. Can’t wait to go again next time in York.
