It has been a passionate dream for Burma-born owners Kalvin and Poe to open a Burmese restaurant to be able to share their culinary culture. That dream came true in 2019 when Top Burmese opened as a virtual takeout only restaurant from a commissary kitchen in NW Portland. Due to its authenticity, made to order, home-style cooking, and Burmese hospitality, Top Burmese traditional and modern Burmese dishes became so popular effectively evangelizing the masses to become Burmese Food fans. I always enjoy my meals here and tonight was no exception. It was great and very enjoyable. It was a happy Christmas Eve. The only complaint is that the crust on the chocolate pie appeared and tasted like it hadn’t been cooked.

This was our second time at Don's and they exceeded our already high expectations from our previous visit. We were there for the Feast of Seven Fishes menu, got a cocktail to start and did the 1/2 pour wine pairing. They batch their cocktails and it's the best Nigroni I've ever had. The menu was filled with familiar seafood dishes prepared in unique ways. Everything was perfect all around. It's rare to find a place that feels as special as Don's. It's our favorite restaurant in Portland, maybe anywhere.

Theres’s a surprising depth of Burmese food in NYC. After having it in abundance in San Francisco I was pleasantly surprised to find a high quality Burmese restaurant in a Portland suburb on a random trip so I booked a team dinner here. The food was better the second time and I plan on coming back any time I’m in the area.
