The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. We offer nose-to-tail style menu, with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily, as the season's best comes in, and always features day boat fish, meat, offal, rare breed steaks and excellent vegetarian cookery.Our beautiful garden bar has a lawn and york-stone patio looking out across the farmland of Paglesham and the River Crouch. Just one word- Amazing. We were all impressed with the all service and atmosphere and the food… wow. So kind and smiling staff, who take care for your comfort the whole time, the restaurant so shiny and fancy , you feel like a star⭐️😋 The food absolutely amazing , from the starters and the salad to the finger-licking good desserts . This is definitely the restaurant we’ll come to again .

Felt very welcoming and comfortable. Enjoyed the drink and food selction. I didn't have a burger, while others did and I wasn't so impressed with the presentation of a burger on an oversized plate with some chips. We had a great evening amd no-one was complaining ! Thank you :))
