Zaab Zaab is proud natives of Queens, opened their restaurant in the heart of Elmhurst’s Little Thailand in April of 2022 just before Songrkan, or Thai New Year. The destination for authentic Isaan cuisine from Northeastern Thailand has received numerous accolades, including a 3-star review from Pete Wells of The New York Times, and being listed two years in a row on the NYT’s 100 Best Restaurants in NYC as well as being nominated as a semifinalist in the outstanding Restaurateur category for the 2024 James Beard Foundation Awards. Zaab Zaab is also recognized as a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant.

“My original thinking when we opened the restaurant was to serve the local Thai community in Elmhurst,” says Chunton. “Clearly I underestimated New York City’s appetite for Northeastern Thai food. We now have five locations across Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan and are so proud to represent Thai food and culture in New York City.”

Our earliest childhood memories include making homemade tomato sauce in our Nonna’s driveway located in Corona, Queens. Being apart of five children, we all had our jobs. From cleaning bushels of raw tomatoes to jarring the sauce with fresh basil there was always enough made so you never left Sunday dinner hungry. Made at our family owned restaurant, Villaggio, you can now enjoy our family recipes. It’s the closest thing to our Nonnas driveway. “Come to Villaggio, where your treated like family” - Bon Apetito!     Neighborhood restaurant that the wife & I have never tried. Decided to visit on Valentines day, bit busy but owner kept everything flowing. Reservation was for 8pm, seated at 8:03pm. Ordered grilled octopus, giant lima beans,Fried Calamari,stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. For dinner had Sea Kebab,Wife had blood orange salmon with mash and asparagus. Overall Dinner was a 8.9. Standout was grilled octopus and stuffed mushrooms for me. Wife loved Salmon. Will be going back to try a few more dishes.

    Went here for Valentine’s Day. They included a live jazz band and complimentary photo ops which were framed on the spot. The service was friendly and helpful. The vegan food was good but pricey for the portions ($28 for the Beet Wellington). Overall they created a lovely valentines dinner for my wife and I.
