The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. It is much cozier,much better service and a completely different experience then sitting in the tent..we love this restaurant..but outside has not been pleasant previous 4x

If you haven’t tried the meatballs appetizer please do. They are tender and flavorful and served with naan bread. I tried the trout entree for the first time and it was delicious. My wife had the Entree Salad with Tenderloin. That never disappoints! I noticed that the prices haven’t increased like some other restaurants which makes it a good value.

The chicken salad and clam chowder were fresh and delicious. Beautifully prepared, incredible view of the rolling hills and wonderful service.
