The latter may evoke a sense of familiarity among weekenders visiting from Melbourne, but it’s also a solid hint at the pedigree behind this place.The Only Hospitality Group (Bentwood, Stanley and Hotel Collingwood) took over and refreshed the site at the end of 2021, retaining the textured curves and decorative fluting on the building’s historic facade.Inside is bright and airy with polished concrete and soft timbers throughout. A place that feels like home.. I don't mean that in a sense that the place is covered in dog hair, the tv is blaring, the kids are screaming and there's lego all over the floor; more in a sense that you feel welcomed, content and at home from the minute you enter, right up until you leave. We wanted to create a place, that I myself, would want to visit on a regular basis. A place where your name is more important to us than your money is. A place where you feel like a regular from your first visit. A place where you feel like a part of our family. A place you felt you've been before. A place that feels like home.... Ok, so we have fancy wine glasses, twinkling candles, nice chairs and really shiny cutlery, but don't let that fool you... We're humble, both in our service and in our food, and pretentiousness and oversized egos were banished from the premises the day we started trading. We like looking the part, but life's too short for airs and graces...

Did the feed me menu. Great variety. Fresh and novel. Maybe came out a little fast but not a major issue. Small but excellent wine menu. Excellent service.

We were 4 for lunch. The share plates enabled the option to try and taste a variety of dishes. A better way than selecting one and admiring what is on the plate of fellow guests.

Overall good .Could be a better range with the wine inc price point . Bit expensive for a cafe . The guy running the place was excellent.Sorted our issues with the wine .
