In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. In a word, Exceptional!! From the deliciously hand-crafted martini's with the most amazing hand stuffed blue cheese olives (any place who serves them should take note, because there a lot of posers out there and it makes a huge difference in the martini). The professional and friendly service was outstanding and not rushed, which is important when you are out for a nice dining experience. We began our food journey with the appetizer special of eggplant rollatini which was superb and flavorful followed by perfectly prepared rack of lamb and salmon. We will definitely be back and you should mark this one down for your food journey. Great ambiance as well!!

Never a disappointment!!! Food, service, value all excellent!!! Miquel a fantastic server!! The food was top notch I enjoyed the pork chop, my wife Branzino.both outstanding.our friends enjoyed the lamb chops and the Branzino as well!!the appts we shared the mussels, calamari, and the burrata. We shared 1 dessert. We were stuffed!! I took open half of the pork chop which my son enjoyed this morning. Always a great meal.
